Paul Eastbury, P.Prov.G.Reg.
Paul was initiated into our sponsoring Lodge, the Lodge of Impartiality No 5101 in Warwickshire in 1984.
He had formerly been heavily involved in the Scout movement for many years.
He joined the 137th Birmingham Cub Pack in 1957, then due to a house move became a member of the 170th All Souls and went through Scouts, Senior Scouts and as at this point the movement was changed and he went into the new Venture Scout Unit, “Hunter” Venture Scout Unit (Handsworth District) instead of Rover Scouts.
Whilst a Senior Scout, he was also made a Cub leader at the 170th All Souls where he remained, until the age of 21 in 1971. Due to work commitments, he was unable to take on the leadership of a group, but his involvement with scouting continued as a member of the Handsworth Gang Show Fellowship, both on and off stage, since 1963. He remains active as Head of Lighting.
In 1984 he married Mary, who has been very supportive of Paul throughout his Masonic and Scouting activities.
He is one of the founders of the Warwickshire Scout Lodge and was the first Senior Warden of the Lodge. The year after, he became the second Master of the Lodge.
He was honoured to be appointed to Provincial Grand Lodge as Past Provincial Junior Grand Deacon in 2000, and promoted to P.Prov.G.Reg. In 2006.
During his year as Master of the Scout lodge he carried out one 1st degree, two 2nd degree and one 3rd degree ceremony, culminating in the Induction of his Senior Warden, W.Bro. Peter Clarke, in April 2000.
