David is married to Linda. They have two grown up children.

 

The whole family has for many years been involved in Scouting.

 

David went though the movement as a boy from Cub to Rover Scout. He ran a successful Scout Troop in the North Birmingham area for almost fifteen years.

 

He is now involved in Adult Training and is a Deputy District Commissioner but he still likes to get away to camp with his old Troop, explaining that it is important, and fun, to keep in touch with the needs of young people.

He was initiated into freemasonry  in Corinthian Lodge, in 1984, and is one of the Founders of the Warwickshire Scout Lodge.

 

In 2008 he was promoted to Past Prov. Grand registrar.
